Dean Flores, Esq.

Mr. Flores's practice includes all aspects of intellectual property procurement, including the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications, the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications and copyright registrations, and counseling concerning trade secret protection.

Mr. Flores's patent practice covers a wide range of technical fields, including illumination and imaging devices, business methods in relation to computer software, radar/sonar systems, mechanical devices, and fleet telematics hardware and software for monitoring the operation and usage of mobile and vehicular assets. In addition to preparing and prosecuting patents, Mr. Flores prepares patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions and counsels clients on patent freedom-to-practice and design-around issues. He also counsels clients on intellectual property due diligence issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Flores also has experience preparing and negotiating a variety of agreements for his clients including confidentiality agreements and joint development agreements.

Mr. Flores practice also includes enforcement of intellectual property rights. Mr. Flores has experience litigating patent infringement suits for both plaintiffs and defendants, and he has experience preparing requests for inter partes and ex parte reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in relation to infringement litigation. He has also counseled clients in relation to both trademark and copyright infringement actions.

Mr. Flores was previously Counsel with an AmLaw 100 law firm. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before

the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Flores holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and received his law degree with honors from the Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey, where he was a member of the Rutgers Law Journal.
